Helena Artbook is a pop-surreal, fantasy, and magic realism artist from the Czech Republic, now based in London. Working primarily in oils and graphite, her art explores the realms of transformation, psychology, and spirituality, often drawing deeply from her own life experiences.

Her artistic journey began in the wake of a profound personal crisis in 2020, a period that became the catalyst for her work. During this transformative time, Helena began translating the symbols and images emerging from her own psyche into paintings and drawings. Through a conscious and intentional engagement with psychology and shadow work, she explored her personal traumas and challenges, transmuting them into powerful visual narratives. For Helena, art is not only a creative outlet, it is a lifeline, a form of deep healing, and a way to navigate and make sense of life’s most difficult moments.

Spiritual exploration permeates her work, inviting viewers into ethereal, in-between spaces where her characters reside. Her subjects often embody a dreamy, divine sensitivity, a reflection of Helena’s own highly sensitive nature, a quality she has learned to embrace despite its marginalization in modern society.

As her name suggests, Helena Artbook envisions her pieces as chapters of a living diary. She seeks to connect with the ordinary person, reflecting the universal experiences of love, struggle, and joy. Her paintings are intended to awaken the viewer’s soul, helping them remember their most authentic selves, and offering glimpses of their own inner worlds. Through her art, Helena invites people to reconnect with their own essence, find recognition and comfort, and feel the transformative power of seeing themselves reflected in beauty and vulnerability.
